Marijana Pećarević

Marijana Pećarević, is an associate professor at the Department of Applied ecology,University of Dubrovnik. She obtained her PhD in ballast water treatment at the University in Zagreb under the supervision of prof. Benović and prof. Piria. She participates in ICES/IOC/IMO Working Group on Ballast and Other Ship Vectors and Working Group on Introduction and Transfers of Marine Organisms (WGITMO) as associate member from Croatia. Her research interests are in conservation biology and preserving marine environment with focus in non-indigenous species, as one of major threats to marine
biodiversity
