About DUNEA

Regional Development Agency Dubrovnik-Neretva County-DUNEA was founded in 2006 at the initiative of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and its basic role is to achieve sustainable development of the County as well as to improve and coordinate existing development activities in accordance with the needs of the Region, national requirements, and requirements of the European Union in order to plan the future economic development with bordering regions. Regional Agency DUNEA currently employs 17 staff members specializing in project management, coordination of development strategies, the development of joint projects through inter-regional and cross-border cooperation, advisory and technical assistance to entrepreneurs, organizing various workshops, seminars and events, participation in statistical regions and promoting investment opportunities. The pool of human resources includes economy, tourism, environmental protection, integrated coastal zone management, agriculture, ICT, energy management, engineering, education and culture professionals. Regional Agency DUNEA has a portfolio of different types of projects delivered through cross-border cooperation programs and projects (IPA, IEE, UNDP, SEE, etc.), covering relevant economic, cultural and social sectors. Most cross-border cooperation has been carried out with the neighbouring countries of the Adriatic area and South-East Europe, Mediterranean countries. DUNEA has contributed to these projects as lead beneficiary, project partner, associated partner, or final beneficiary. The combination of years of experience in project management and various fields of professions guarantee DUNEA’s competence.

Role in the Project

DUNEA will be in charge of the tourism-oriented use case as lead of Task 2.1 on use-case definition and Task 6.1 demonstration

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 871295.

The SEACLEAR project spans four years, running from January 1st, 2020 to December 31st, 2023.
